Just prior to 11am in Dayboro, on November 11th – Remembrance Day 2014 – a gathering of over 100 people payed tribute to the brave soldiers who gave their lives, fighting for our freedom.
Representing the Dayboro War Memorial Association, Richard Hawkins oversaw the event which included students of Dayboro State School reading poignant excerpts and recitations; the address by Uniting Church Minister, Richard Lance; and Dayboro Lions Club’s sound system and assistance. Patsy Cains, of George Hartnett Funerals at Albany Creek, provided a light luncheon.
