The ‘Very Important Pets’ program grants you access to unique services including an incredible free vaccine offer! As there are two components to every vaccination visit – the Comprehensive Physical Examination and the vaccine – the VIP program highlights the value of the physical examination by making the vaccines free for the life of the pet. Each year you and your pet will visit for the Comprehensive Physical Examination and any routine vaccines that may be due, are given free of charge.
Dr Annika Oksa Walker from the Old Mill Animal Hospital said it is exciting to be able to offer such a unique program to their loyal followers. “This is a great gift to give to the owners and pets of the Moreton Bay region. Studies show that by offering the program of free vaccines, and focussing more on the annual examination, pet health improves dramatically in the community.”
Dr Annika also stressed the importance of the Comprehensive Physical Examination EVERY year. “Because our pets age so much more quickly than we do, it is essential to give them a thorough examination at least every 12 months. The trouble with animals is that even if they seem fine to owners they can sometimes be hiding underlying disease or issues. When noticed quickly and early on, there are greater, and often more affordable, options available to us. When we wait until there are obvious signs of trouble, such as joint disease or kidney failure, the treatments tend to be more expensive, or worse – there may no longer be treatment options available to save your pet”. With this in mind, it is easy to see why the VIP program is expected to be very popular and early enrolment is encouraged.
