Dec2013_Dayboro Conversation Club
Dayboro Conversation Club is now well into its second year of life—and what a life it has taken on!
Every Friday a group of ‘mature’ residents of Dayboro and surrounds meet in the Uniting Church Hall (opposite the Dayboro Butcher) to share friendship and enjoy the many activities and entertainment that Sheriff Linda (from Bluecare) provides.
This month we were treated to a fashion parade for Melbourne Cup, with clothes and accessories kindly provided by the lovely Judith at Little Bit Vintage. If you have not, as yet, visited Judith’s shop (opposite the Uniting Church) then you have something to look forward to—it’s just magic!
We also experienced “life in the Bahamas” courtesy of club member, Brian. He provided us with a wonderful electronic presentation of his and wife Carol’s life in the Bahamas. Thank you, Brian, we enjoyed it immensely.
Earlier in the year we experienced the tastes and culture of Thailand, when our friend Mam came and spoke to us about her home country and spoilt us with a magnificent luncheon of Thai delicacies. Our heartfelt thanks, Mam, you did a magnificent job. Can’t wait for a return visit!
For information on the Conversation Club please telephone Ann Turner on 3425 2864 or Kay Murchie on 3425 2379, or alternatively drop in on a Friday between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. and have a cuppa with us and pick up the program of activities for the month.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and please stay safe over the festive season.
