Oct2013_Alonzo Trevere (Trevor) Thorpe: A Valued Life

Just three weeks after the death of his wife, Dare, former Dayboro resident Trevor Thorpe passed away in September, aged 88.  Noted for his detailed memory, Trevor was asked in 2000 to compile a video history of what Dayboro’s main street was like in the 1930s.

Leslie James Enchelmaier was born in Brisbane on 23 June 1930 – the youngest of Carl and Caroline Enchelmaier’s 12 children.  The family owned a dairy farm at the back of where the Dayboro pub is now.

13 July 1925 – 23 July 2013
Marjorie Evelyn Pedwell, (Marj), one of the last living links with the first settlers of Mt Mee, passed away on 23rd July.  She was born on Mt Mee on 13th July 1925 to Catherine (known as Kate) and Arthur Thomas.
She had two older sisters, Elsie and Joan, and a younger sister Gwen.
