Feb2014_Dayboro Footpaths and Outdoor Fitness/Gym Facility

On 27th November 2013, representatives of Dayboro Lions met with Cr Bob Millar and other MBRC representatives to discuss improvements to the Dayboro footpath network.  Our objective in having this discussion was to highlight areas around the town where approval had been given for new developments to proceed but with no apparent consideration made for new residents to access the Town safely on appropriate footpaths.  The three main roads leading to Dayboro are extremely busy and pedestrians should not have to compete with trucks, cars, motor bikes and push bikes.

In lieu of my regular column I’m on a different tack this month.
Imagine this …
Banish 105 families of this community, say an area the size of Lacey’s Ck, Mt Brisbane and Mt Pleasant – all on the upper reaches of the North Pine River – and forcibly relocate them.

by Nadine
Name inspired by a recent CREEC workshop.
In 2009 my passion for macro photography was developing in to an increasing interest in nature, especially our amazing native wildlife.  I had to move further out of town and I came to Dayboro in early 2010.  I am amazed at how much information is available to us and how few people know about it.
