LINDA’S “VINE” LINES March 08

As we move into the year (and isn’t it going fast) March is a very busy month. International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March and this year’s theme is Queensland Women: Shaping the Future. March 15th is also World Consumer Rights Day which promotes the right to safety, the right to be informed, the right to choose and the right to be heard. HAY COTTAGE NEWS March 08
Hello readers, and welcome to another year.Hay cottage held it’s Annual General Meeting on the 11th February 2008, and the existing committee have all been re-elected. It was pleasing to see so many of our members in attendance. Our Patron Rhonda Marsh (a descendant of the Hay’s family) happily accepted our invitation to also attend the meeting. It was great to catch up with her, as 2007 was not a good year.

We did love that rain!
And now get into the garden and cut the high grass! Go on Dad, or are you doing it Mum? This weather promotes growth which is lovely for our plants but those lawns need constant attention if you’d like them to look reasonable. That’s besides those patches where no grass ever wanted to grow anyway!
