A YEAR AT RENDEZVOUS

rendezvous.jpgWith out sails full of naivety and gay abandon, we launched Rendezvous in Dayboro on the 24th of November 2007.  For two months prior we gathered together all available funds, linked as they were and committed them to the comedy and heartbreak of a shop-fit.  Despite the potential for disaster and mayhem, the job proceeded very well and remains a credit to the creativity and enthusiasm of all those involved.

Vancouver Island was a place we just had to see, so we flew to Nanaimo by sea plane and drove down to Victoria.
My favourite place was the quaint town of Chemainus which is famous for its 30+ murals on the buildings around the township.

Mt MEE NEWS Nov 08

It is with sadness that I report the death of Dan Wruck of Hausmann Rd in a farm accident last month.  Dan was a very good friend and neighbour and we miss his cheery grin very much.
The season continues its amazing run – each time it begins to look dry we get rain and the cattle are doing wonderfully well.  Let’s hope that the weather continues to behave as it did in the good old days.

Council bids to highlight war sites

Moreton Bay Regional Council will apply for State Government grants to highlight significant World War 2 sites in the region.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said while some World War 2 sites had been audited and well documented, others had not.

Federal Member for Dickson, Peter Dutton MP, said the way in which thieves steal a person’s identity is becoming more sophisticated and can include obtaining personal information from internet sites, rubbish bins or by copying credit card information after you make a purchase.
