I’ve never had a New Year like it and I probably never will again. 

A really good New Year is not just about where you are and what you were drinking as the clock strikes midnight.  Rather it is about the build up to the whole evening and completing so much more afterwards.

Red Dog feels ‘paw-ly’

While some dog breeds suit a lifestyle of lazing around and keeping quiet, Kelpies are certainly not one of them.  So when bouncy 6 month old Kelpie pup, Red Dog, managed to break his toe, it was always going to be a battle to keep him calm!

Dreaming of a White Christmas

I bet it’s crossed your mind from time to time – you know the dream of experiencing a white Christmas. 

Now, finally the time has come where my wife and I are to spend the Festive Season in a place where Christmas Carols come to life – the villages and alps bordering Austria, Bavaria, and Slovenia.

 

Saturday 12 July saw the re-opening of Inspired By Time. Vicki Stevens, from Armstrong Creek, has taken over from Rudy Pauwels as the new owner of this pretty vintage furniture and decor shop at 3b McKenzie Street Dayboro. 

 

Basil’s Big Adventure

Any visitor to the Old Mill Animal Hospital will have met our resident Spotted Children’s Python, Basil.  She (yes, Basil’s a ‘she’!) can usually be found sprawled out on her log in the afternoons, or curled up around her heat lamp on chilly mornings.  Love them or hate them, snakes are curious characters with intelligence far greater than you’d probably expect.  To prove this point, one Sunday morning Basil noticed that her glass doors had been wedged open slightly by her freshly-cut branches, leaving a teeny tiny gap to the outside world. 

 

There are many statistics thrown around regarding the sad fate of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens each year, and we often feel that there is nothing that we can do to change these figures. Now, the Old Mill Animal Hospital is helping owners to help their pets, by making desexing more affordable than ever before.
