Carers Required for Wil

wil_foord_150dpi.jpgWil is a 16 year old young man with spastic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy.
His goal is to live independently like all young adults.
Wil lives on 12 acres, in a fully renovated, wheelchair accessible barn with his horse, donkeys, chooks and dogs.  He has a vegetable garden and is setting up a nursery.
Wil’s interests include music, animals, cooking and watching his favourite DVDs.  Wil has a fantastic sense of humour and many stories to tell.
Carers are required for many different aspects of life; including In-Home respite, and transport to and from school, TAFE, work and Community Access.
A wheelchair accessible van is provided for all outings.
Work required at home includes hoisting, showering, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
Training is offered for all of these duties.
Carers would be required to be Wil’s “arms and legs” and to assist him to live a full and interesting life.
Carers need to be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, RESILIENT and PATIENT.
“No man is an Island” so if you are interested in being one of Wil’s team; please call Melinda on 3425 2928.
