Dayboro & District Rural Fire Brigade
Now is the time to prepare for the bushfire season
Download brochures/plans from www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au
Being prepared for bushfire season is not just an individual effort, but a community effort and to help you we recommend you attend the Prepare.Act.Survive (PAS) activities. Research suggests many communities across Australia are vulnerable to the damaging effects of bushfire, even homes located some distance from vegetation. The purpose of these sessions are to ensure residents are working together and understand the risks involved in living close to bushland. PAS sessions will be happening over the next few months across many parts of Queensland so make sure you regularly check the local brigades & QFES Facebook pages for one near you!
…GET OUT. FIRE ABOUT…
Hopefully you will all have seen the home fire escape plan campaign for a safer QLD. The campaign is bought to you to encourage everyone to have the all-important conversation about how your family will escape your home in the event of a fire. To learn more about fire escape plans and view the advertisement visit www.qfes.qld.gov.au/fireescape
the Wardens’ Word
***ALL FIRES-ongoing request***
The wardens for the areas below are requesting a courtesy call before lighting ANY fire please. Even fires below the 2x2m permit requirements. This is ‘not’ mandatory just a safety precaution. Thanks for your co-operation!
