DAYBORO DAY A WINNER FOR THE GALLERY
President Warren is pleased to report that Dayboro Day was a great success for the Gallery. Excellent support by members, starting at 4.30 on a very cold morning, produced a very good result.
President Warren is pleased to report that Dayboro Day was a great success for the Gallery. Excellent support by members, starting at 4.30 on a very cold morning, produced a very good result.
Over 1000 people visited the gallery, and purchased paintings, gifts, clothes, brick a brack, books, enjoyed a sausage or two, enjoyed the music, and spent time speaking with various artists that were showing their skills on the day.
Visitors showed great interest in the Peoples Choice, where they voted for their favourite piece of artwork, and after over 800 votes Warren Watson won the main prize, while Joan Gerry took out second prize. The visitor’s book has many pages of complimentary comments
The committee will now be able to go ahead replacing the ceiling and lighting in the back room and finish off the work from the flood damage
