April 2010 . . FRETFEST IS BACK
For those of you who missed last year’s event here’s a bit of history. Fretfest started in the late 90’s to give upcoming artists a chance to play their original music.
Over the years it has helped artrists like Pete Murray, Greg Arnold (Things of Stone and Wood) and Women in Docs to get a platform for their acoustic music, and to go on to become household names.
On April 24th, commencing at 6.30pm, Fretfest is coming back to Dayboro Hall with four talented young artists. The line-up is yet to be confirmed, however Fretfest founder (Alan Buchan) is returning to the spotlight for the Dayboro gig. If you appreciate good live music please come along and support this great venture. Bring your family, bring your friends – because we need a good turnout to ensure Fretfest’s return to Dayboro.
So bring a hamper and a bottle of wine (or whatever beverage you prefer) and come down for a musical treat. Tickets can be pre-purchased at Rendezvous Café for $10 0 or at the door for $15. Hope to see you there!!
