JOIN US on Sunday, April 18:

Our joint artists of the month – Maureen Trueman and Trevor Ryan – will be available to speak to you on Sunday 18th April from 10am to 4pm.  See them demonstrating their work-styles, look around the gallery at their featured displays – as well as the work of our other member-artists – and join us for coffee or tea on this day.
REMEMBER:  ARTIST DAY at the Gallery, Sunday 30th May. 
As you enjoy the sights and sounds of our community’s Dayboro Day Festival, come in and choose your favourite painting – and vote in the PEOPLE’S CHOICE award.
Next month (MAY) the artist of the month will be Robert Bradfield.

Two Featured Artists for APRIL
ARTIST OF THE MONTH (1)
 Maureen Trueman
Maudie Trueman, is an award winning artist who has been passionately involved in art for over 25 years.  Being a painter and ceramist enables her to be very versatile in her work.  Come in to view her work in the Dayboro Gallery. Maureen was a founding member of the Dayboro Art Gallery, having moved to the Pine Rivers area in 1970. 
Maureen’s studies included 2 years Architectural Sculpture and USQ Toowoomba.
Influenced both via travelling and her imagination, Maureen Trueman currently has works represented in England, Germany and Australia.
ARTIST OF THE MONTH (2)
 Trevor Ryan
Trevor Ryan has won many awards for his artworks and looks forward to dedicating more times to his painting.  He lives in Closeburn and has been a keen artist since his early childhood.
He enjoys painting the Austalian outback, country scenes and old buildings.  His more recent works are of the old style homes in Paddington and Red Hill, Brisbane.  These have proved quite popular.
Trevor also likes to work with mono prints, pen and ink and to experiment in the impressionist style.  He feels that the inspiration for his work is related to the years he spent travelling and working in the Mining Exploration, Swedish American Line and Ansett Airlines.
