Lifestyle and Amenity spokesperson Cr Julie Greer said the program offered an introduction to 80 different sport and recreation activities.
“For the first time since the program began, men and women can now participate in sport and recreation activities together,” Cr Greer said.
“It gives husbands, wives, and partners of all fitness levels the ability to support and motivate each other for maximum results.
“Council encourages all residents to be active, healthy and involved in the community and the majority of the activities are run by local organisations and sport and recreation clubs.
Cr Greer said there were more than 1500 places available with the addition of 12 new activities in 2014.
Adrenaline Men and Adventure Women runs from March 1 until May 31.
A new, user friendly online booking system has also been launched with instant email confirmations and live updates of available places.
“It’s never been easier to get fit and get connected with your local community,” Cr Greer said.
Bookings open for Adrenaline Men and Adventure Women from 9.00am Tuesday 11 February, 2014 at: www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/recreationprograms
