Sep2013_CALLING ALL GREEN THUMBS
All classes at Dayboro have been working on, or about to plant, new vegetable plots during this year. Classes have experimented with herbs and some vegetables and are looking forward to the Spring growing season.
We are in the process of starting up a school Gardening Club to revive existing garden beds in the school, and maybe plant some new ones. We are looking for volunteers (Mums, Dads, grandparents) to come and give us a hand.
If you have some spare time on your hands, like working with children and have some gardening knowledge, then please contact Mrs Scanlan in Prep, Mrs Cassell or Mrs Smith (or leave a message at the office).
This is part of our SEMP (School Environmental Management Plan) to improve the biodiversity of our school grounds.
To work with children you must be a holder of a current blue card and be familiar with the code of conduct.
Looking forward to meeting some of our enthusiastic community gardeners!
SEMP Committee.
