Sept2011_CELEBRATING AMBULANCE WEEK

September 17th, 2011
Come and see how your ambulance station works.  As part of Queensland Ambulance week the Dayboro Ambulance Station will be having an open day from 11am until 2pm.
This will be an opportunity to see how the Paramedics and  First Responders prepare to deal with any medical emergency in  our community.  See all of our equipment and look through our vehicles.  It is also a chance to meet some of the members of your local ambulance committee and find out how they assist the Dayboro Station and the provision of ambulance services in the area.
This would be a great time to discuss any special needs that you or your loved ones may have. Ask any questions that you may have. Encourage your children to find out about the ambulance services before they need them.
There will also be plenty of fun for all ages.
Have your blood pressure taken for a gold coin donation.
Enjoy a sausage sizzle from 11:30 until 1:00  soft drinks will be on sale.
Dayboro State School have kindly offered to assist by encouraging the pupils to enter the art competition we are running for Ambulance Day. They will enter drawings or paintings depicting the “Queensland Ambulance Service and our community”. Prizes will be awarded on the day and entries will be displayed at the Ambulance Station.
If you are new to the town or area come and introduce yourself and meet the Paramedics and First Responders.
If you have been in town for some time you may need to introduce yourself or we may recognise you.
So remember September 17th at the Dayboro Ambulance Station, 140 McKenzie Street.
