DAYBORO BOWLS CLUB NEWS
AUGUST FINANCIAL DAY: This day was sponsored by our Past Presidents, Edna Wruck; Norma Butler; Jackie French; Gillian Jones; Sheila Close; Rosemary Bierge; Lorraine Petroff; Giuli Ferguson; Cath Brady. Thank you to all for your support. No winners or losers on the day just lucky numbers drawn out. Spider prizes went to David, Kallangur and Norm, Dayboro. There were 2 raffles won by Richard, Pine Rivers (breakfast tray donated by Past Presidents); Colin, Kallangur (huge box of chocolates donated by Kallangur Ladies); Nancy and Bob from Dayboro won the fruit and veg trays.
PENNANTS: The Ladies have finished Division 5 Pennants. Members played well coming in fourth. Well done and look forward to next year.
PRESIDENT-AT-HOME: President Edna Wruck had a great day on Wednesday, 29 July 2015. It was good to see her family and Des attend.
Life Member: It was sad to receive the news that our Life Member Agnes Chambers had died. She has been in a nursing home for quite some time and she will now rest in peace. Our thoughts go out to her family.

FRIENDSHIP DAY: Wednesday 23 September 2015. These are lots of fun and if you would like to try lawn bowls a perfect time. Morning tea is at 9am. Play 9.30am. Bowls can be provided. Cost is $5 – with morning tea and lunch provided. Ring Edna on 3425 1119 for more information or to play.
FRIDAY NIGHT MEALS: Fortnightly 6pm till 8pm.
WEDNESDAY BOWLS: Ladies Day but men are welcome – 9.00am morning tea. 9.30am play. $5 to play – BYO lunch. Once again, if you would like to come along and try the game of lawn bowls, bowls can be provided, just wear flat shoes.
