JUNE FINANCIAL DAY: This day was sponsored by Michael Flanagan me Property Sales, Dayboro. We are very grateful to Michael for sponsoring this day. Michael also managed to come along and have a game of bowls with us, staying on for lunch to present the prizes. This day was a bit different with 10 lucky numbers being drawn out of the hat, and 10 very happy bowlers sharing the prize money. The spider prizes went to Marian, Deception Bay and David, Kallangur. There were 3 raffle prizes going to Katrina, Samford; Nolene, Kallangur and Lesley, Enoggera. Fruit and Veg went to Rose, Kallangur and Katrina, Samford.
We all missed President Edna Wruck on this day, as she was in hospital having her knee problem attended to. She was to have a game with Michael. We hope President Edna will soon be back playing with us.
HONORARY MEMBER JOAN CLARK: All our members were very saddened by the death of our own Joan Clark. She has been a member of Kallangur Bowls Club, but we made her an Honorary Member due to the support of our Club. Each year, on the second Monday in April Joan has been sponsoring our financial day. Joan has been in a Nursing Home for some time now, but still ensured that she sponsored our day, and her son Ralph would always make sure she was there for us. Joan you will be missed. Such a special lady. Our sympathies go out to all her family.
