ZONTA MELBOURNE CUP LUNCHEON
Fashion, fun and food are the themes of the Zonta Club of Pine Rivers Melbourne Cup Day luncheon being held at the Wantima Country Club located at 539 South Pine Road Brendale.Club members have been busy planning the luncheon, which will cater for fashion, fun and food followers alike.
Fashion followers will be treated to a parade of summer fashions by local Samford boutique “Silks Boutique”. The Coffee Club has donated a prize for the best hat, so glam up for the event.
For the fun conscious, there will be sweeps, raffles and a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival.
For the food conscious, the Wantima Country Club is offering a sumptuous hot and cold buffet lunch.
Club President, Mrs Lorraine Hunter, said “I am thrilled to announce that there is a lucky door prize of a three night accommodation package at Jacaranda Cottage Maleny valued at $550 for one of our lucky luncheon guests to win”.
Dayboro Cottages Bed and Breakfast and Llama walks have donated a 2 nights accommodation as a prize for the luncheon.
Club President, Mrs Lorraine Hunter, said “she is hoping that the women of Pine Rivers will get together with their friends or come alone to the luncheon to raise money to assist women and girls locally with their emergency accommodation and education needs”.
The cost of the luncheon is $45 per ticket. If you can get together a table of 10 the cost will be $400.
