“700 Celebration”
– on 11th September 2011 Win One of 2 Tablet PC’s
Established in 1979 the Apex club of Dayboro reached its milestone 700th meeting in August. To mark the occasion the club is holding the “700 Celebration”, a community fun and activity day on Sunday the 11th of September between 11am and 3pm in the Council Buildings next to the ECU in Williams Street (Also in the Railway Street Parkland behind). There will be a free Climbing Wall and Bouncy Castle for kids, BBQ, music and fun activities for adults as well.
The club will also be presenting a brief storybook style presentation walking through their local history which is almost certain to leave you walking away muttering ‘Well I never knew that!”.
Arrive in plenty of time for the presentation at 1:30pm to find out how local residents (irrespective of age) can win one of 2, 10.2” Android Tablet PC’s – Absolutely Free!.

Apex Club Initiates Crime Prevention Project
The Apex Club of Dayboro has successfully secured $10,000 in grant monies from Suncorp Insurance to launch an ongoing crime prevention project administered by local Police, the Progress Society and Apex Club itself. Funding will see the town and surrounding areas using state of the art technology to deploy mobile closed circuit and remote surveillance cameras. Watch out for more details in coming months.
