POLICE NEWS June08

logo_police.gifOn 4th May a vehicle windscreen was damaged in Bradley Street.  The vehicle owner and offender were known to one another.
Between 11th and 19th April the halters of horses in a paddock on Hills Road were cut on two separate occasions.
An incident of credit card fraud was recently reported by a local resident who had noticed a number of unauthorised transactions on a credit card statement.  These transactions were described on statements to sound like charitable bodies such as ‘Community Crime Prevention’; ‘Rescue Fire Emergency’, ‘Safe Healthy Communities’.  It is important to carefully check bank statements for discrepancies.
On a number of recent occasions, there has been unauthorised access to the Dayboro pool complex.  The most common time frame appears to be Friday to Sunday nights.  There have been property items damaged and there is also an obvious safety risk to those involved.  I would ask that anyone coming home past the pool later of an evening pay some attention to that area and report any suspicious activity to the police station.
Unfortunately, there has also been some graffiti and general littering which is detracting from the skate park area behind the pool.
If anyone has information in relation to these or any other offences please contact Dayboro Police Station 34251200 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
