Pine Rivers Festival: May 23 to June 1

The 10-day action-packed festival – celebrating its 21st year – will feature events in locations across Pine Rivers and showcases the talents and diversity of the region to residents and visitors alike.

An outstanding festival highlight will be impersonators of Las Vegas Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and Buddy Holly on stage at Rodz Rock ‘n’ Roll car show in Pine Rivers Park. This explosive event on May 24 is expected to attract more than 200 hot rod and classic car entries.

A new event will be the exciting BMX bike and skateboard championships for the young and the “young at heart” at Albany Creek Skate Park, in Old Northern Rd, on Sunday June 1 from 10am.

For a touch of culture, artistic connoisseurs will appreciate the prestigious 16th Annual Art Awards, featuring artworks and “Memories of Pine” photographs on display at the Pine Rivers Regional Art Gallery and the Strathpine Community Centre from May 24.

Taste buds will be treated at the prestigious Jazz and Shiraz night, at the stunning Ocean View Estate Winery on June 1.

The multicultural Hills Carnivale at Leslie Patrick Park in Arana Hills, on May 31, will overflow with international cuisine, multicultural dancing, ABBA tribute band Dancing Queen and children’s entertainment including a visit by Dora the Explorer.

Back again are the well-loved favourites like Dayboro Day on Sunday, May 25, which features an Antiques and Collectables Fair, and the intriguing Mystery Bus Tours that run on May 26, 28 and 30.

Wherever you live, enjoy the opportunity to see it, sense it, and taste it by taking part in some, if not all, of the many exciting events that make up our 21st Pine Rivers Festival.
