MORE FLOOD MITIGATION FOR DAYBORO
Work will shortly commence on a drainage levy to be constructed in the property to the left of Mt Mee Road bridge. This project, which has been in design for some considerable time will complement the major bridge work in Williams Street and future works on the Tullamore Park to Williams Street drainage enhancement, all of which will further assist in reducing the extent of flooding experienced in Dayboro.

WHICH ROAD BELONGS TO WHO
From time to time residents raise matters with Council staff that revolve around who has responsibility for the various roads within our local area. Samford Road, Main Street, Mt Glorious Road (Samford to beyond Mt Glorious), Mt Samson Road (Samford to Eatons Crossing Road) and Eatons Crossing Road are State controlled roads under the management of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Dayboro Road and Mt Mee Road in Dayboro are also State controlled roads. Maintenance of these roads is the responsibility of this department although Council is contracted to arrange roadside mowing. Council undertakes construction and maintenance of other designated roads but does not formally undertake maintenance on the many kilometres of unconstructed road that still exists in the Region.
