Oct2013_PowerMums is coming to Dayboro

– Something Different for Mums – Something new
PowerMums is owned and operated by Alison Jones, a relatively new resident of Dayboro.
With a love of the outdoors and a need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Alison and her family moved to Dayboro nearly 12 months ago, to take advantage of a wonderful community feeling, fresh air and the opportunity for her children to grow up in a rural setting.
A personal trainer for over 13 years, Alison has nurtured PowerMums into a community of mums who are positive, who band together to share experiences, and who support each other.  With the main aim of getting fit, eating healthier, losing baby weight, through exercise and great nutrition, a PowerMums class is unique in that they provide childcare in an enclosed venue while you exercise in the park outside. Staffed by qualified childcarers, they nurture your kids with play and fun while you are getting fit and feeling human again.
Don’t be scared though. PowerMums is not a boot camp.  They understand the challenges new mums have with sleep, and family pressure.  Sometimes it is a great effort to just show up. Alison’s unique training style has for years achieved great results by gradually building fitness levels over time.
PowerMums is ideal for mums who are looking to lose their baby weight, want to connect with other mums in the area, motivate each other, and have fun, a laugh and a much needed social outing.
PowerMums has been operating in Kallangur, Wavell Heights and Graceville over the past 6 months or so and has now come to Mt Samson.  In conjunction with Fiona Engwirda, at songbird music education center, they are running classes on Thursdays at 9.30am.  As a promotion for The Dayboro Grapevine readers, PowerMums is giving everyone who enquires, a free week of training and childcare at any of the venues mentioned above.
