Oct2013_LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

THANKS YOU’s TO:
Dayboro Lions Club and  K9 FX Mobile Hydrobath & Pet Salon
Dear Editor,
We would like to thank the wonderful people of the Dayboro Lions Club. Recently we were in need of help with hospital transport and initially our neighbour Chris Johnson was there to help.  He is a great neighbour and we value his help however we also understand his work commitments.  Gary required two hospital visits in one week so we were at a loss.  In desperation I phoned the Lions and Bronwen, the Secretary, immediately reassured me.  Sue Flinders the President’s wife rang me from South Australia to make sure my needs were being met.  Then on the day of Gary’s operation, Bronwen’s husband Dugi was at the door at 6 am for pick up and Tom and Glennys Williams were at the hospital that afternoon to deliver the patient home.  We have not been in the situation before of needing the help of others in such a way and it can be a difficult and embarrassing experience asking strangers to drive you long distances, especially with current fuel prices. Bronwen’s reassurance and empathy helped me through the situation.  Above all, I realised how much these organisations are just taken-for-granted as ‘being there’.  We are blessed to live in a community with such caring Lions.  We should never take their services for granted!

Dear Editor,
I wanted to say a big thank you to Laurelle from K9 FX Mobile Hydrobath & Pet Salon.
Laurelle’s professionalism was far beyond all my expectations, her great nature and patience was all you could ask for in the job she does.
If you’re looking for someone to pamper your “furry” kids, then I would highly recommend giving Laurelle a call (0456 968 877), you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again Laurelle, we look forward to your next visit.
Sharon
