Our Annual Dayboro Pony Club Gymkhana was held on 25th August 2013.  

We had 115 riders in total from 11 clubs, including 14 riders from our club. It was a fantastic day, beautiful weather and a great turn out.   

Two of our DPC members received overall trophies – Georgie Barber received 1st overall for her age group and Taylah Matthews received 2nd overall.  Taylah took home the clubs’ members trophy with the highest points, with more than 5 riders in the group (McCullock Trophy). 

We are so proud of our club, our members, both riding and volunteers set a very high standard for all local pony clubs in South East QLD.  It was one of the best run events we have put together in the 17 years that the wonderful Diane Bell has been our Secretary.  We are very proud of our club for always banding together to help and volunteer their time to put on such a successful event. A HUGE thank you to all our club riders, members, volunteers, the local and surrounding community and sponsors for supporting our club and helping make the day such a success!

We also drew our RDA (Riding for the Disabled) raffle on the day that has been ongoing for the past few months with tickets sold at the Dayboro Rodeo, Dayboro Day and Gymkhana, with the major prize of a full size bar fridge stocked with drinks to a Pony Club family at Kilcoy.  Mikayla Bennett raised over $4,000 from the raffle and our Team Penning Day (held in May) to go towards the RDA.  Well done Mikayla, you should be very proud!
