THANK YOU
Dayboro police wish to sincerely thank all of the residents, organisations, businesses and committees that generously supported the Dayboro police charity trivia night which was held on the 2nd of September at the Dayboro Cowboys Leagues Club.  The night was a huge success with a massive crowd and just under $6000 being raised for this fantastic community.  The monies raised have been given to Dayboro Apex who (with the Dayboro police) will distribute the funds throughout the community to residents in need, community groups or towards crime prevention initiatives.  A special thanks to Greg LINCOLN, Helen RHUE and Jodie JENSEN for their unrelenting efforts in organising and helping run the night.  If you have a good idea for how some of the money can be spent in our community please contact Dayboro police.
NEW DAYBORO POLICE TRAFFIC CRASH SIGN

Dayboro police, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Dayboro Apex and Dayboro Districts Progress Assoc. have formed a partnership and initiated a project that will hopefully reduce the number of traffic crashes resulting in injury that occur within the Dayboro police division.  On Bradley Street a new sign has been erected declaring the weeks that have lapsed since a traffic crash resulting in injury has occurred. Police are hoping that this sign will perform as a constant reminder to local and tourist traffic that crashes are avoidable by obeying the simple driving rules.  Dayboro police would like to thank the organisations involved in this partnership for their generous support in purchasing the sign.
STORM SEASON APPROACHES
Dayboro police are urging Dayboro and districts residents to prepare for the storm season early, especially if you live in areas that are prone to losing electricity or flooding eg. Lacey’s Creek, Armstrong Creek, Kobble Creek etc.  Prepare yourself by purchasing and storing torches, batteries, candles, non-perishable food, generators, UHF radios, water etc so if you are isolated or lose power you will be self sufficient for at least a few days until access and power can be restored.  We need little reminder as to what occurred in January 2011. Furthermore, during storms or heavy rain please drive to the conditions of the road by slowing down, leaving sufficient space between you and other vehicles and look out for large potholes.
SCHOOL WATCH
School watch volunteers were hard at it again keeping Dayboro State School safe over the September holidays.  Dayboro police would like to sincerely thank all of the school watch participants who volunteer their time and efforts to patrol the school grounds during the holidays in an attempt to reduce the likelihood of offences.  These people do a fantastic job.  If you would like more information regarding this program please contact Dayboro police.
Stay safe
