Pine Rivers Zonta Club President, Mrs Rosalind Pestell, is pleased to announce the Club is again hosting a Melbourne Cup Lunch Event on Tuesday 2nd November to raise funds to support women and families of the Pine Rivers District.

Mrs Pestell said “this year’s event is even more special than last year’s event because it is 150th anniversary of the Melbourne Cup.  The event has been planned to encompass all elements of the Cup that people have come to expect”.
DKW Fashion at Albany Creek will present a breathtaking fashion parade of spring/summer seasons fashions to delight our fashion conscious guests. There will be a Hat Fashion Award so dust off your frocks, fascinators, hatinators and hat. “After all Melbourne Cup is all about the frocks and hats” Mrs Pestell said.
As well there will be sweeps and raffles to give our guests a chance to enjoy the “traditional spirit” of the Melbourne Cup.
Wantima Country Club will serve up a sumptuous hot and cold buffet lunch with bubbles on arrival.  Cost is $45.00 per ticket.
Funds raised from the event will support the educational and accommodation needs of women and families in the Pine Rivers District.  So get together some of your friends or just come along yourself and join the friendly members of the Zonta Club of Pine Rivers on Tuesday 2nd November.
