“This funding is good news for the students, parents and teachers of Dayboro State School,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“I know from talking to teachers and parents that this work is important to the school community and I am delighted my representations to Public Works Minister Robert Schwarten have resulted in this funding becoming available.”
Carolyn Male MP said the funding for the project was provided through the Department of Public Works’ Special Building Needs program.
“The Special Building Needs program was developed alongside existing maintenance programs to undertake projects that arise in the course of the year or that are unable to be normally completed by the school because of the cost,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“This funding demonstrates the Bligh Government’s commitment to maintaining public infrastructure for the benefit of the community and ensures we are on the path to achieving our Toward Q2 targets of a stronger, smarter, fairer Queensland.”
QBuild – the State Government’s construction and maintenance division – will manage the project
