Nov2014_CORRIE 2nd AT BMX TITLES
Congratulations Corrie – 2nd in Queensland two years in a row!!! At the end of September Corrie Schuhmann once again raced in the Queensland BMX Titles which this year were held at the Chandler BMX track in Brisbane. He raced in his age group for the 18yr men’s and was very happy to receive a Q2 plate and trophy on the podium.
He finished the race with a jump over the last hill and skidded across the line to come in 2nd place, even though he got a flat tyre as he went over the finish line.
This was Corrie’s last big race for a while as next year, at the end of January, he heads off to Canada to volunteer for nine months as an Outdoors Activities Instructor. He is going with Lattitude Global Volunteering and will first be at a camp in Calgary and then Vancouver Island.
