Nov2013_DAYBORO CWA NEWS

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
A highlight of being a CWA member is being able to give back to the community.  One of our favourite events held twice a year is our Seniors Morning Tea.  On Tuesday 19th November from 10am we will be hosting a Christmas themed morning tea at the Dayboro Showgrounds for our ‘young at heart’ guests.  Join us for a fun morning with loads of raffles and yummy home baked goodies.

We have special guest speaker, Professor Lindsay Brown, from the University of Southern Queensland speaking on ‘Foods As Medicines’, a fascinating topic.  For more information please phone President Pam Peters on 3425 2786.
What’s Happening…

Enjoy our relaxed Social Evening at a local cafe or restaurant.  This will be our final gathering for the year as December is always a busy month.  We would like to discuss which direction to take this group next year and organise a calendar of evening and weekend events to suit those who work during the week, but would still like to connect with local women.  Your input would be greatly appreciated.  So far we have suggestions of weekend bushwalks and craft days.  Please call or email Stephanie to find out where we are meeting this month, 0439 799 078 or stephsinc@gmail.com, new faces are always welcome!
