The whole community is invited to come and reminisce between 10am and 2pm at the Samford Historical Museum and view a fascinating array of items detailing the history of the Samford area.
The Samford Historical Museum will join with Ozcare’s Dementia Advisory and Support Service on Friday 5th June for a community open day to celebrate Queensland Week.
The event will provide an opportunity for people living with dementia to join with their community to ‘step back in time’ and share memories.
As Queensland Week celebrates the people of Queensland and their achievements, the event aims to make a positive difference in the lives of those among us living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.
There will be live music to enjoy and live demonstrations of bygone pastimes and activities such as woodworking and blacksmiths.
A home-made morning tea will be provided free of charge and a sausage sizzle will also be available for a gold coin donation.
We look forward to making this a day to remember.
