Dayboro Day
Please check the Grapevine for notification of road closures for Dayboro Day on Sunday 31st May. The main detour around the town area will be beside the Dayboro Hall. Access to Mount Pleasant and Laceys Creek and the town area north of McKenzie Street/ Delaney Street intersection will be via the football club and showgrounds access roads which will link McKenzie Street through to Mount Mee Road. Detour signage and traffic controllers will be in place.
On the afternoon of Sunday 5th April there were two burglaries on Pringles Road Kobble Creek. Residents arriving home to one of these homes disturbed the offenders about to steal a vehicle and trailer and managed to obtain a vehicle registration number. The plates were stolen from Carrara and the vehicle from Southport a few days before. CCTV from the 2nd property has also assisted in identifying suspects who have now been charged by detectives. A quad bike, jewellery and keys were amongst items stolen. Between 3rd and 5th April entry was attempted to a back door of a house on Ocean View Road.
In the early hours of 6th April fuel and a fuel container were stolen from the back of a trailer parked in Bradley Street
On 24th March a vehicle stolen from Deception Bay was located burnt out on Old School Road at Cashmere. On 17th March a motorcycle stolen during a break and enter at Burpengary was located on Briscoe Road. On 29th March 3 stolen vehicles were located in Dayboro. Two parked at a Dayboro address and a 3rd after a chase from Dayboro to Strathpine.
On 28th March two trail bikes and a chainsaw were stolen from under a house on Rucker Road. Overnight on 21st March a car trailer was stolen from the Dayboro Hire shop. Between 18th and 19th March number plates were stolen off a vehicle parked in McKenzie Street
