Property Crime
Over the past month there has been one reported break and enter of a shed but no property was taken. There have been two reports of property stolen from vehicles and a car stolen from Strathpine was located burnt out at Ocean View. Whilst this is a reduction on previous months, please remain vigilant as to suspicious persons and vehicles and lock up your homes and cars.
If you have information in relation to these or other offences please contact Dayboro Police 3425 1200 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
Traffic
The traffic crash sign in Bradley Street had reached a record of 7 weeks since our last injury traffic accident. Unfortunately, there were two single vehicle injury crashes involving motorcycles over the week-end of 21st and 22nd of April. It was great to see the sign reach 7 weeks but we are still receiving regular traffic complaints relating to the type of driving that could easily lead to a crash – this includes excess speed and unsafe overtaking.
Dayboro Day
Please check the Grapevine for notification of road closures for Dayboro Day on Sunday 26th May. The main detour around the town area will be beside the Dayboro Hall. Access to Mount Pleasant and Laceys Creek and the town area north of McKenzie Street/ Delaney Street intersection will be via the football club and showgrounds access road. Detour signage and traffic controllers will be in place.
Rural Watch
The next meeting of the Dayboro and Districts Rural Watch will be held on Tuesday 4th June at the Dayboro Bowls Club, commencing 7.30pm.
