Sunday 27th May 2012 – 8.00am – 3.30pm
Here we are again, heading towards another Dayboro Day Festival, our 21st in fact.
Come on down to Dayboro, meet up with family and friends and have a great time at the festival. There is something for everyone, young and not so young alike. Stalls with homemade goodies to a good neck massage. Support your local community group at the festival.
8am: There will be a Gospel Service for the Combined Churches of Dayboro in the grounds of the Uniting Church, starring Rob Black and Bill Turner.
9am: The stalls are ready and rearing to go.
10am: We will see the street filled to the brim for the Street Parade.
Don’t miss the official opening and the Dayboro Day Awards at 11am. Wander up to the Dayboro Show grounds to visit the Dayboro Antique and Collectables Fair. At only $5 admission it is a bargain and you may even snag a bargain while you are there. Bring along Grannies vase and have it valued by experienced valuers. It just may be worth more than you think. Valuations are at very reasonable prices.
Dayboro Waterless Raft Race explodes onto the street at 1.30pm. Watch out for all the antics of our local, not-for-profit clubs as they go head to head in the race of the year. It isn’t quite as waterless as some would like! It all starts outside the Dayboro Bakery and finishes at the bridge near Lions Park.
Lunch is an experience in itself. There are so many options to choose from – too many for just one tasting. Let your head go and try a little of everything.
Sit and relax and take in great entertainment on Roderick Cruice Park stage. Stroll through and listen to The Twine or go up the road to the café and listen to Black Heather sing some great Irish ballads. Kato the Clown will be in attendance again to entertain the children as will Alexis the Puppet Man. We have Pony Rides, an Animal Farm and heaps of rides.
What about the Kids Passport? There are great prizes to be won and heaps of goodies to collect along the way. Just call in at the Dayboro Cottage (Dayboro Festival HQ for the day) and collect your Passport to Fun.
Grab a bargain at the White Elephant stall in the Uniting Church yard or get some reading material for the coming year at the Dayboro Scouts Book stall.
We guarantee there will be something for everyone at the Dayboro Day Festival, so come along, bring your family and friends to help us celebrate our 21st year on Sunday 27th May 2012.
