Meet in the car park of the Maroochy Regional Botanic Gardens.
Tanawha Tourist Drive.  A day of retreat in a beautifully restful place.
During this retreat we will open ourselves to encounter the Sacred in the whole earth community by spending time in the bush and engaging with sculptures.
BYO morning tea and lunch to share.  Hot water, tea, coffee etc provided.
Cost: $35/$30 conc.
May 21st     Fruit Tree Maintenance.     9.00am – 12.30pm.
While often fruit trees sit neglected, the potential to increase fruit quantity and quality can be improved by planning a regular program of maintenance.  Bruce Ham from Brisbane Organic Growers Inc. will host a workshop that considers fertilizer management, pruning and pest disease management on a range of subtropical fruit trees.  Other topics will include propagation, fruit fly management, mulching, weed management and tree paste.
Cost: $10/$8 con.    RSVP 20th May.
June 11-13th    Tracking the Brisbane River
Beginning and ending at St Vincent’s Centre, Queen’s Rd, Nudgee.  This will be a delightful way to spend the long weekend in June.  We will be tracking up the Brisbane River and its tributaries via Woodford, Linville, Kingaroy, Bunya Mountains, Yarraman, Kilcoy, Somerset Dam, Esk, Ipswich, Indooroopilly and then to Lytton.  While detailed costing cannot be done until we know the numbers, the upper limit will be $300 which includes motel standard accommodation for 2 nights, petrol for the bus, and a contribution to the costs of the tour leaders.  You will pay for your own food along the way.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ARE DUE BY MONDAY 9 MAY.  A DEPOSIT OF $50 IS DUE AT THIS TIME.
