Property Offences
Over the last month a generator was reported stolen from a shed in Morris Street and food items were stolen from a property at Cedar Creek after entry was gained through an unlocked door.
Overnight on 17th May entry was made to an Ocean View Road house by removing the screen and entering open window. A computer, mobile phones, cash and cards were stolen.
If you have information in relation to these or other offences please contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 or Dayboro Police Station 34251200.
Online Scams
We get regular inquiries at the station in relation to suspected online fraud.
There are many different variations to some of these schemes. Useful information can be found on the Queensland Police website and Scam Watch http://www.scamwatch.gov.au/
Traffic
There were two injury traffic crashes in late April. We have a number of active traffic complaint areas with the main issues being speeding, hooning and unsafe overtaking/ tailgating. As a result, be aware that there will be increased enforcement throughout our area including speed camera and unmarked patrols.
Sheriffs Fund
Money raised from our police charity trivia night is directed back into the community via the Lions Club of Dayboro Sheriffs Fund. We have recently used the funds for a number of projects including a fund raising ice cream day at Dayboro State School, a contribution towards a bush dance at Mt Samson State School and a free Xbox and Wii games day. If you have ideas for projects to direct the money towards please contact Paul or I.
