July2014_LETTERS TO THE EDITOR 1
Dear Editor,
After reading of the untimely passing of Mrs Hazel Finlay in your last edition, I was prompted to write to also praise the excellent work of Mrs Patsy Cains and her crew from George Hartnett Funerals of Albany Creek, as the Finlay family did.
My mother-in-law, Mrs Hazel Gibbins, passed away on 17 April 2014 after living with my wife, Lexie, and I in our home for over 4 years. She was an absolute treasure, and we miss her dearly.
We could not have asked for better treatment and service from Patsy Cains – and her crew.
Nothing was too much trouble from the day of Mum’s passing to the day of the service and, for this, we are very grateful. Just goes to show that there are professional people out there who do really care. Thank you sincerely, Patsy.
As Chairman of Dayboro and District Rural Fire Brigade, I would like to pass on to the Finlay family our deepest sympathies from all the members of DDRFB for their sad loss and thank them for nominating the Brigade to receive donations on Hazel’s behalf.
Glenn and Lexie Bell.
