Melissa Hickey is one of our most dedicated Gym members, she regularly attends our Group Fitness classes and has more recently become self- motivated to do extra work outs on her own. Being consistent and making exercise part of her day has really paid off for Melissa over the past few months. Together with a healthy eating plan, Melissa has lost over 8kgs.
In the early days Melissa didn’t always look forward to training! But she persisted and is now fitter and stronger than ever and actually enjoys her work outs. We love Melissa’s energy and dedication and would like to congratulate her on fantastic results! Well done Mel, you look amazing!
Melissa’s Story
In 2013, after a 9 week overseas family holiday I was at my heaviest and with a very fit and active 12 year old as inspiration, I decided it was time to focus on working out (consistently and efficiently), being strong and losing the weight.
I lost 8kgs and 1.5 dress sizes in 4 months and my fitness and muscle tone is the best it has been since my teens. I also dramatically decreased my calorie intake.
I now feel great and love going to the gym, Linda & Naomi are very encouraging. I am determined to stay focused and have learnt that results come from putting in a consistent effort.
