logo_police.gifTHANK YOU

Ken and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who had ‘a hand in’ organising our special community service award that was recently awarded to us on Dayboro Day 2011. Ken and I were ‘secretly lured’ to the opening ceremony for Dayboro Day 2011 then ambushed on stage and issued with the award by Cr Bob MILLAR. Ken and I were overwhelmed and most grateful to receive the award. Thank you to everyone who nominated us.
DAYBORO STATE SCHOOL ZONE – 40KM/PH
Dayboro police have been receiving numerous complaints regarding motorists speeding through the Dayboro State School – school zone. We are urging all motorists to please adhere to the speed zone times and proceed past the school at 40km/ph or below during these times. Dayboro police and the Pine Rivers Traffic Branch will be conducting enforcement in the school zone in the mornings and afternoons. Our priority is the safety of the parents and students attending or leaving the school during these hours. Please slow down and help us keep this road safe.
REMEMBRANCE – DETECTIVE SNR CONSTABLE DAMIEN LEEDING
Dayboro police were overwhelmed by the out-pouring or support and donations for the Damien LEEDING remembrance fund by the Dayboro community. Detective LEEDING was fatally wounded during an armed hold up on the Gold Coast on Sunday 29th of May 2011. Ken and I have received numerous messages of support and donations for Detective LEEDING’S family. A special thanks to the Dayboro Cowboys and supporters, the Dayboro State School and Dayboro IGA for generously supporting the fund. A ‘very special’ thanks goes to Glen BELL who patrolled the Dayboro township handing out blue and white remembrance ribbons and consequently raising hundreds of dollars. Thanks Belly!
PRO BMX FREESTYLE DAY – SATURDAY 16th JULY 2011 – DAYBORO SKATE PARK

Dayboro police and Dayboro Apex have organised and funded a Pro BMX Freestyle Day on Saturday the 16th of July 2011 at the Dayboro Skate Park. The day will be similar to the BMX day held last year with Core Operations providing two pro riders to put on a display and take skills workshops. The day will commence at 10am and conclude at 2pm (weather permitting). Dayboro Police and Dayboro Travel have donated two BMX bikes to be raffled off on the day and there will also be other prizes, giveaways and a sausage sizzle. All proceeds will go towards the Dayboro charity fund.
SCHOOL WATCH – DAYBORO STATE SCHOOL

Dayboro State School – school watch program will be operating again over the school holidays from the 25th of June 2011 to 10th of July. Vigilant volunteers will be patrolling the school grounds during this period to help Dayboro police reduce the occurrence of trespass, vandalism and theft. If you would like to volunteer for this program please contact Dayboro police. Ken and I sincerely appreciate all of the effort our volunteers put into this program.

Stay Safe
