Feb2013_DAYBORO POLICE NEWS
Happy New Year from Ken and myself.
The last two months have been busy with Traffic related matters and some minor crime issues. The most serious being a head-on collision between a motorcycle and 4WD on Mt Mee road, with the rider of the motorcycle suffering life threatening injuries. Two stolen cars were located burnt out, one on Mt Mee Road and one on Neilsons Road.
There has been a few attempted break and enters reported to police, where offenders have been disturbed in the process and fled. Motorcycles are still being targeted. Please be vigilant and lock up cars and shed etc, even while you are home.
Dayboro police now have covert cameras available for the publics use. The cameras have been donated by the Dayboro APEX. The cameras have been used successfully in the past month with 2 male offenders charged with attempted stealing. If you have a criminal or traffic issue that you believe a camera may assist with, then please contact Dayboro police and have a chat to Ken or myself.
With School having started again, we urge you to be careful when driving around the school areas with all of the students about. A Traffic operation will have been targeting offences in the school zones during this period. Parents, please get helmets on your children’s heads. The penalty is a $110 fine or the caution process.
Some wilful damage occurred at a table near the tennis courts in December. Thanks to a phone call made by a member of the public, the offender was identified and has been put before the court.
If you see a crime being committed, please phone PoliceLink on 13 14 44. The smallest piece of information can start the ball rolling in regards to catching offenders.
