DAYBORO LAC NEWS Oct 2008
Dayboro LAC (Local Ambulance Committee)
Marian Krause was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and a badge in recognition of her 30 years of service to the Dayboro Ambulance – firstly on the Ladies Auxiliary in the QATB days, then on the LAC.
Marian Krause receives her 30 Year Badge and Certificate from Chresten Reville, Acting OIC Dayboro/
Currently President of the Dayboro LAC, Marian has seen many changes to the Ambulance Service during her years of involvement.
Dayboro’s First Responders should be operational by the time this edition comes out – with just a minor technical glitch preventing the forecasted September 29 start.
We are awaiting approval of a Grant application for the purchase of special training equipment. The QAS has supplied the group’s uniforms and basic equipment.
The group turned out in force on September 13 for their 1st fundraising venture – a sausage sizzle and raffle in front of the Dayboro IGA. More fundraisers are being planned.
