Council part of fire training exercise at Mt Nebo
Mt Nebo was the scene for a mass bushfire training exercise this week, which involved Moreton Bay Regional Council and more than 60 people from emergency services and national parks and wildlife.
The training event, which simulated a large bushfire threatening Mt Nebo’s township, tested emergency response and evacuation procedures as well as incident management practices.

Moreton Bay Regional Council has adjusted its water policy to help ratepayers who face exceptional circumstances. EMU Teaches About Pets
Deception Bay children are the first in the region to learn about caring for their pets through RSPCA Qld’s Educational Mobile Unit (EMU). The EMU will visit a host of schools and events over the next two years as part of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s program to encourage responsible pet ownership.

Our Pine Rivers Shire Council is no more, having been amalgamated with Redcliffe and Caboolture to form Moreton Bay Regional Council, but we in Dayboro can still claim to live in Pine Rivers – the Queensland electoral division.
