Between 11th and 12th July two fish tanks and related equipment and a Ninja garden gnome were stolen from the front patio and a rear garden shed of a Laidlaw Street property.

‘Twas with much mirth I read the letters to the Editor in the last 2 issues. “Ease up Turbo” and “Radars on Nomads” – had me reminiscing on the time my dear old mother stopped on a busy roundabout to give way to the cars leaving the Western Freeway.  She told me SHE wasn’t going to have an accident.  “Tell the 3 cars that have just had a pile up behind you!” was my response.

In reply to “Not Sergeant X”:  I was most interested in your statistical perspective – thank you—it makes sense.  I do attempt to abide by the traffic rules, and try to stick to the speed limit (it is better for the hip pocket).

I write in reply to the “Not Sergeant X” elaborate defence of motorists who choose to drive at 80kmh in 100km zoned areas.  “Not Sergeant X” appears to focus on Dayboro Road to support his view.
I commute a distance of over 40,000kms per year which encompasses Samsonvale Road, City and Freeway driving.
