Aug2015_Wintertime at The Powerful Owl Club of Samford

On Tuesday 23rd June it was a day to remember as most of our 21 attending members arrived at the club wearing hats in a variety of shapes, sizes, colours and origins.  Berets in different colours;  a black fez;  chequered Sherlock Holmes hat;  Vietnamese conical embossed hat;  a cap of sorts, loosely entrapped in a rather long lacy flowing scarfl;  even a disused bright red ice cream container sat perched on one gentlemen’s pate.

Aug2015_Pine Rivers VIEW Club.

This month we had a ‘Christmas in July’ luncheon and were entertained by a marvellous performance by the Undurba State School’s Strings Trio and their Senior Choir.  The young children certainly impressed us with their beautiful music and made us thankful for the schools that still encourage all things music.  Thank you Undurba State School for providing us with such a high standard of entertainment.
