Nov2011_RESIDENTS URGED TO WATCH THEIR WATER USE AS WEATHER HOTS UP

With the onset of the warmer months, Unitywater is encouraging its customers across Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast to be conscious of their water consumption.
Executive Manager Retail, Judy Bailey, said water consumption was already on the rise and historically there was a marked increase during spring and summer when residents were spending more time outdoors.

Dear Editor,
Has the RACQ lost its mind?  In mid-October, I called the RACQ for roadside assistance from our home address in Samsonvale (half way between Samford and Dayboro).  After one hour I received a call to say that the patrol, which had been dispatched from Kilcoy an hour earlier (!!!!), was still half an hour away.

Samson.  The breeders, Dr Bill and Janine De Maria, said that the breed started in the unforgiving hills of the Galloway area of south-west Scotland.  The breed was around 400 years ago, starting from the crossing of the Galloway with the Dutch Laken elder.

Not another Migraine!  Sure enough:  three days after the onset, the roadside drain ways are yellowing off from pesticides.  Actually the immediate reaction could have been any general symptom, such as common headaches or migraines, vagueness, forgetfulness, dizziness, heart palpitations, fatigue, lethargy, blurred vision, emotional sensitivity, weight loss, asthma and chesty coughs with or without croup.  Symptoms can even go as far as epileptic fitting.  And these are but a few of the possible symptoms!
