Has anyone around this district heard a Barking Owl?  Peter and I have gone 70 years and never heard one till around October last year.  I was standing outside just on dark and I heard this unearthly screaming going up the gully near the foot of the mountain at the back of the house.

Senior Constable Troy Nowitzki has been promoted to Sergeant and transferred to St George Police Station.  Since his arrival in Dayboro in 2009 Troy has become a very active and highly regarded member of the Dayboro Community.

Shannon Noll and Lee Kernaghan are set to shine brighter than rhinestone cowboys for Caboolture’s long weekend of Urban Country from May 4 to 7, 2012.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland, said Lee Kernaghan and Shannon Noll would lead a star studded line up of 10 acts for the Urban Country Music Festival’s ticketed performances on Friday and Saturday nights.

The weather during the year just concluded was certainly “out of the box”.  At home here on Kalahari Downs we had a generous 700mm in January last year – almost equalling the total for some recent years.
