– Salute to a grand old dame ! The University of Queensland made the big decision to build a new Dayboro Veterinary Surgery in order to upgrade and expand facilities to meet the growing demand for high quality veterinary care. Although our beloved old building served the community well over the past 25 years, it really was time for rejuvination.

A meeting is held 9.30am on the third Friday of each month at our premises in the Wavell Heights Community Hall, Edinburgh Castle Road, Wavell Heights.
What an extraordinary season – six months without a drop of useful rain followed by months of unremitting downpours, a few days of idyllic autumn sunshine and then back to the cold and the wet.
Calling all residents of Dayboro and surrounding areas: it’s time to get your cameras clicking for the inaugural Dayboro Framed photographic competition.
With categories for Adults, Youth (13-17 years) and Primary School Children, the competition will showcase the Dayboro region as viewed and experienced by the community.
QUEENSLAND REGIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AND COMMUNITY AWARDS
The Official State launch of the Queensland Regional Achievement and Community Awards will be held in Mackay on Thursday 6th June 2013 and in Chinchilla Thursday 13th June 2013. Each launch is free for community members to attend and will call for nominations in a variety for categories this year.
