Dear reader, you just may have observed that there was no Mt Mee column last month.  I should apologise unreservedly for this deficiency – but I won’t, because I was having fun!
 
In truth, Kay and I had a few days of holiday – a very rare commodity for some reason.  ‘She who must be obeyed’ had found an advertisment for a little package tour on someone else’s discarded Coles docket – and we were ‘in’ before I knew it!

Dec2013_DAYBORO POLICE NEWS

On the weekend of 9 & 10 of November 2013 there were 2  traffic crashes where injuries were sustained in the Dayboro Division.  One crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday just outside Dayboro on Mt Samson Road.  This crash involved a motor cycle rider.  The rider suffered two fractured wrists and a badly lacerated elbow.  The rider was both unlicensed and possibly under the influence of alcohol (Tests pending).

Dec2013_Pine Rivers High School Students Succeed Again

A team of four students from Pine Rivers High School (Atomic Rush) recently competed in the State Competition of the F1 in Schools program.  The Competition was held at QUT in October.  They design, manufacture and race miniature F1 cars.  But it is much more than that, it is an academic program encompassing science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Dec2013_REMEMBRANCE DAY 2013

On behalf of The Dayboro War Memorial Association I would like to thank everyone who participated during the service and Paul Stanton and everyone who helped with the setting up and removal of the shade structures and seating.  The 5 Dayboro school students, Jacob, Kira, Pim and Torin, who recited the Ode and poems and narrated a press article from 1917 and Abby, who played the Last Post and Reveille are an absolute credit to themselves, the school and their parents.
