Dec2013_Pine Rivers High School Students Succeed Again

A team of four students from Pine Rivers High School (Atomic Rush) recently competed in the State Competition of the F1 in Schools program.  The Competition was held at QUT in October.  They design, manufacture and race miniature F1 cars.  But it is much more than that, it is an academic program encompassing science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Atomic Rush were awarded:
· Best Engineered Design;
· Outstanding Industry Collaboration;
· Best Team Marketing;
· Best Team Pit Display; and
· Best Team Portfolio.
They have now been selected to represent Queensland at the national competition to be held in Canberra in March next year.
Another team A1 Racing, with some students from Pine Rivers High, departs Brisbane early November to compete at World Competition being held in Austin, Texas.  We wish them all the best at the prestigious event.
